If your vehicle suffered a mishap, and now you’ve got a scuff, nick, or scratch where there used to be flawless paint, you don’t have to live with it. Unless the area is large or a complicated fix, you can most likely repair the damage yourself with matching touch up paint.

Prepare the surface by sanding it with fine-grit paper to remove old paint. Wash your vehicle completely and allow it to dry. Apply a thin layer of primer with a toothpick or small brush, and allow this to dry for at least an hour.

Dab tiny amounts of paint into the nick or scratch with a toothpick, taking care to add a thin coat, as too much paint at once can bubble on the surface finish. Once dry, wash and wax the area to help it blend with your existing paint.
